West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry's annual New Teacher Breakfast. Continuing its strong commitment to the community, Vulcan sponsored three new teachers from School District #105.
"It was great to join other area business leaders and welcome new teachers and administrators to the local school districts," said Vulcan representative Mike Saban. "We really enjoyed the opportunity to support these professionals for the extremely important work they do."
The two-hour breakfast took place at the Brookfield Zoo and included an inspirational story on the impact of good teachers by guest speaker Mr. Randy Vickery, Managing Partner of Freeborn & Peters LLP. Vulcan's Zach Hershey also attended to join Saban in wishing the schools well as they begin a new academic year.
"We are fortunate to have such talented, dedicated teachers," Hershey said. "At Vulcan, we know firsthand that solid teachers are the building blocks of strong communities."
